River Cruise equivalent to a world cruise

We wrote a few weeks ago about the very strong demand for ocean world cruises.  In summary, Oceania's 180 day world cruise for 2023 is sold out and includes a waiting list.  At least one river cruise operator has  looked at this and have come up with their own version.

Where and When?

AmaWaterways is introducing the longest ever river cruise - 7 rivers, 14 countries.  Over 46 nights starting June 1st, 2023, 144 guests will start in Paris.  They will sail first on the Seine, then the Saône and Rhone Rivers in France. From there, the trip continues on the Rhine, Mossell, and Main rivers, then finally the fully length of the Danube ending in Romania.

What's included?

Included are 130 complementary excursions - many of which will be all new tours and experiences since many prospective customers are experienced river cruisers.  Other inclusions are:  transfers between sips, laundry and portage services, all gratuities (a first for AmaWaterways).  A single dedicated cruise manager will accompanying the guest for the entirety of the trip which will maintain continuity.

This is a great way to compare and contrast - different regions, customs and rivers.  Getting to know your fellow passengers well is another bonus.  After a week on a river cruise, you can feel like you've met some great people; after 46 days, you'll be able to really get to know each other.

Specifics

Reservations will open march 15th.  We know from our AmaWaterways contacts that demand appears very strong. Since there's very limited space, we expect this to sell out quickly, despite a price tag north of $25,000 per person.  much more information will be available shortly as AmaWaterways rolls out  this brand new product.
